BURNS NIGHT 2021!

On January 25, 2021, my family celebrated the life of Scotland's National Bard (Scots for poet), Robert Burns.

What I loved about this year, was that each family member (even the in-laws) played a role. Scottish culture is intoxicating, and everyone drank the whisky so to speak and played their part. My husband did an excellent job at The Toast to the Haggis, my brother-in-law a really thoughtful Toast to the Lassies and my two children each participated without protest as well. My son led us in the Selkirk Grace and my daughter started off the ceilidh portion with some highland dancing. It was a wonderful time and an excellent way to come together to honor our heritage and basically, have a wonderful excuse to party.

If you ever have interest in a Burns Supper or the opportunity to attend one, you should really consider it! Always reach out to me if you need some direction in starting your own. I would love to hear from you and help you put the framework together.
